Vemula Groups completed the construction and interior fit-out of a dedicated reading lounge within Terminal 1. The space was designed as a genuine pause point for passengers, with warm materials, careful acoustic treatment, and lighting tuned for long operating hours.
Accessibility was central to the brief: the lounge uses universal, barrier-free design with wheelchair-friendly layouts and assisted waiting zones throughout. Layered seating with integrated side tables and task lighting keeps the space comfortable for both short stops and long layovers.
Timber bookshelf walls with display niches and ambient lighting give the lounge a quieter, more residential character than the terminal around it, while every material and finish still meets airport-grade durability and safety standards.
